Banco Keve launches Muhatu Package to stimulate entrepreneurship

Mar 02, 2024

This Saturday in Luanda, Banco Keve launched an innovative financial solution for women entrepreneurs in Angola, called the "Muhatu Package", as part of its strategy to exclusively support female entrepreneurship.

It is a solution that will allow the bank to expand its commitment to entrepreneurship initiatives led by women, offering a set of advantages that will allow them to enjoy access to credit, simplified means of payment, differentiated pricing and promote inclusion and diversity in the business community.

To access the Muhatu Package, female entrepreneurs must present a cash flow statement and evidence of invoicing (bank statements, tax payments), be a majority shareholder in an SME (validated by the articles of association), and have no history of default with the bank or in the market for more than 290 days.

Furthermore, in order to apply for a loan, among other documents, experience in the sector of activity for which the loan is intended is required.

During the ceremony to present the initiative, Banco Keve's administrator, Efigénia Tonha, said that the Muhatu Package offers various services and products, including "Muhatu current account", "TPA without fees", "secured current account" and "Muhatu term deposit".

"This solution also brings a set of partnerships, from legal and tax advice, because we understand that companies must also be properly legalized and have their taxes up to date, and we often realize that we have the emotion of creating a business, but then there are fundamental parts that are not well taken care of, which is why we thought it ideal to add these advantages," she explained.

According to her, Banco Keve has set a minimum annual turnover of 10 million kwanzas per year for women entrepreneurs who own small and medium-sized businesses to be able to subscribe to this package.

"We're talking about just under 1 million kwanzas a month, precisely to ensure that there is a greater level of inclusion of women in this process," added Efigénia Tonha.
